ERROR OGG-01224 Address already in use OGG-01668 PROCESS ABENDING
This error can be encountered on a consolidated platform, where you have multiple Golden Gate instances up and running. The manager of one instance can't start because the port is used by the replicat of another Golden Gate instance.
How to check: First look into the manager report file to review the error. Then check to see if the address is in use:
[root@cdf-dm1dbadm02 ~]# netstat -nap | grep 7840 tcp 0 0 :::7840 :::* LISTEN 321096/replicat unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 1378402 114214/ora_lmon_psy unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 1278406 107944/crsd.bin /var/tmp/.oracle/sprocr_local_conn_0_PROC -- note: 7840 is the manager port
How to solve:
- stop the replicat that uses the 7840 address
- start the manager that experienced the error
- restart the replicat
